SIKA

Privacy policy

Last updated: 17 October 2026 (draft)

What SIKA keeps

Your name, email and password (stored only as a secure hash), your household's name, and what you enter: accounts, bank details, contacts, income, expenses, transfers, dues, to-dos and your settings.

Why

Only to run SIKA for you: show your money, totals and history. We do not sell your data, show ads, or share it with anyone, except a mail service that delivers SIKA's own emails (sign-in links and codes).

Who can see it

Only the people in your household. Every household's data is kept apart in the database, and each request is checked against your sign-in. SIKA administrators can see account details to keep the service running; they do not browse your entries.

Your choices

In Settings you can download a copy of everything (export), clear what you entered (reset, which can be undone for 7 days), or delete your account. A delete removes your household and sign-in for good; database backups that already exist expire on their own.

Security

Passwords are never stored as written, sensitive actions need a code sent to your email, connections use HTTPS, and repeated sign-in attempts are slowed down.

Contact

Questions about your data: use Help > Support in the app.
